This was an example of general cover letter for employment. In fact it was a pretty good example. Go through it once more now and notice the following things:

Learn from our example

  1. Applicant mentioned that he has read the job description several times and also that he has researched the company website. Doing so, it is a clear sign of interest for the position an employer can not overlook just like that. It’s in fact a calling for an interview invitation.
  2. Applicant also expressed directly, how happy he would be to get a chance in face to face interview. Do not be afraid to do it in your own letter. Ask and it shall be given you. Ask for the interview invitation and you’ll more likely get it.
  3. Applicant clearly expressed all the skills, abilities and even the personal characteristics that are required or might be beneficial for the job. Doing so, he helped the employer to clearly understand why an invitation for face to face interview should be sent. Think about it… Make it easier for the employers to understand why you are good for the job.

At the end of the fay, to write a general cover letter or job application is not an ideal choice…. You should be job targeted on your cover letter and mention the abilities, skills and experience closely related to the job you are applying for. So, use this format as an inspiration, but adjust it a little (or a lot), depending on the job you are applying for. We wish you good luck!
